An update for all my dedicated readers
Saturday, October 20th, 2007Three weeks ago I started a new gig at Zillow, which has proven fun and challenging. It’s really fun being part of a team instead of a lone ranger.
This morning I took off to climb Granite Mountain in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area just north of Snoqualmie Pass. At about 4000′ feet I ended up turning around upon encountering more snow that I was prepared to deal with. But that’s a good sign. When i got back to the car I took a quick run up to Alpental to check out the scene. Amanda and I were there last week and there was no snow whatsoever, in fact we enjoyed a very dry hike to Snow Lake in the sun. Today that was all rapidly changing. Enormous wet flakes of snow were coming down at an alarming rate. Hello Ski Season!
